My research found the John Degge came to Va from England.
Two left Va. and went to N.C.-bros.-William and Marshall.(This Marshall turns out to be ours.) his son Marshall Diggs Jr, had William Diggs who had Gilford. Guilford had D.M.Deggs. Of course, D.M. had Nathan Deggs.
