Rites Held for Mrs. G. Christie

Graveside services for Mrs. Grace Dill Christie, who passed away at a Berkeley hospital after a long illness was held at the Susanville cemetery yesterday afternoon at three o'clock with the local chapter of Eastern Star officiating.

Mrs. Christie was a native of Wendel, Calif. She and her husband, the late J.I. Christie, formerly resided in Susanville. Mr. Christie operating the Christie Furniture Store for many years. For the past five years she made her at Berkeley.

She was a member of the Susanville chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Native Daughters of the Golden West. She was the first guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel 46 and a past royal matron of the Court of Amaranth.

She leaves a son, Fay Christie, Walnut Grove, and a daughter, Merle Downing, Berkeley; two sisters, Mollie Dill, San Fransciso, and Nettie Doyle, Berkeley; a brother, William Dill, Richmond, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
