Does anyone have any old Bible records, church records, court records, marriage index, obituaries or ANYTHING on William Frank Dillard? I am especially interested in information showing his marriage to Judah Dillard and anything showing the lineage to their children. I have to have this information and/or documents to prove that my Great Grandmother Louise Jane Dillard (Mrs. W.A. Fitzgerald) was actually their daughter.
William Frank "W.F." Dillard was born May 14, 1833 in Spartanburg Co., SC to Harcaneous Dillard and Nancy Briant. He died Sept. 21, 1883 in Cold Bath, Clark County, Arkansas.
Judah Dillard was born Dec. 11, 1826 in South Carolina to Samuel Dillard and his wife Elizabeth Reid. Judah died Jan. 18, 1869 in Clark County, Arkansas.
They were married Dec. 2, 1852 in Benton County (later Calhoun County) Alabama. Their first 2 children were born in Alabama in 1853 and 1854 and then beginning in 1856, the remainder of their children were born in Arkansas.
Judah and William Frank were 1st cousins and grandchildren of Joseph Dillard and his wife Priscilla Wilkins.
One of their daughters was my Great Grandmother Louise Jane Dillard who married Rev. William Andrew "W.A." Fitzgerald. They lived in southwest Arkansas where W.A. was a minister for the Methodist Episcopal Church.
I have been asked by the DAR to provide additional information for my application. Please help me if you can. If all turns out and I'm accepted, then I will be able to share my information with anyone who wants it.
