Try Macon County, NC. Those names sure sound familiar to me. My great grandmother, Fannie Nebraska Dills who was cherokee, was born in Macon county. She married Thomas Bingham in 1899 in Macon County. They had 11 children, several born in Macon County. They moved to Union County, GA where they and several of their children are buried. Thomas was married to Sarah Morris before he married Fannie, and they had 9 children. There is a book titled Macon County Marriages that has very early marriages up to the early 1900's. I found a lot of my Bingham/Dills kin, as well as Nichols, Cabes (McCabe), Carpenters, etc. Another good source is Macon County Heritage.
