Hi there. I believe my family are from San Benedetto dei Marsi in L'Aquila and have found out that most of my ancestors were killed in the earthquakes earlier on in the century which makes my family hard to trace

My Grandparent's name is Alfredo di Loreto. He is from Abruzzo too. I'll try to remember the name of great grandfather's.

I know this message is old but I thought I would take a shot in the dark. My fathers name is Ezio Cautela. He also has an aunt Lucy Gatto, we are in Columbus Ohio. My grandfather was Simone Cautela all from Pratola Italy. I wonder if we are related. I would be interested in any research that you can share.

Thank you! I think one of my grandparents was from Pescara, and the other from L'Aquila. There are still family over there, but I'm not completely sure which town. I will have to ask my father and get back to you

Your e-mail was brought to my attention. Our family (Di Loreto) originated in Popoli, Abbrozzo. What town are your grandparents from? We still have Di Loretos in Popoli and have a family reunion there every two years. The next one is scheduled for the second week of August 2006. I have no information regarding your grandparents at this time but will send your request to my cousins who have elderly parents in Popoli and get back to you. Nice making contact.

My grandparents, Armando Di Loreto and Livia Varrasso came from Abruzzo, Italy, and migrated here in 1955, I think. I believe my great grandfather's (Armando's father) name is Vincenzo Di Loreto.

JAY DiLORETO, age 40, died April 1, 2004, at his home in Carrollton.

He was born July 15, 1963 at Martins Ferry, the son of the late Adam and Carol ( Best ) DiLoreto.

He was a 10 year member of the Cadiz Federation of Eagles the A.B.T.A. ans was a lifetime derby fan and driver.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant grandchild.

Surviving are his wife, Penny ; father, Dan Flaherty ; two sons, Jason and his fiancee, Sheri, of Parlett and Jacob of the home ; a daughter, Amanda, of the home ;

five brothers, Richard Best of Kansas , Adam ( Lori ) DiLoreto of Florida , Terry ( Dee Dee ) DiLoreto of Cadiz , Jerry DiLoreto of Cadiz , Dan ( Joyce ) Flarethy Jr. of Smithfield ;

three sisters, Carla ( Chuck ) Stall of Kansas, Crystal ( Keith ) Ottensmeier , Mary ( John ) Panjuscsek of Smithfield ; 14 nieces and nephews.

Service was held April 5, 2004 at the Wilson Funeral Home Dillonvale, with the Rev. Gary McClain officiating.

Interment followed at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.

I am a Di Loreto living in Connecticut. My grandparents were from the Abruzzi area. My grandfather was Nicolo and my grandmother was maria. They migrated to the US and settled in New Britain Ct.

I was just surfing the net when I came across this web page.I was curious to know if we were distant relatives. My father was Enrico Di Loreto and he was from Pratola,Peligna. Hello Andy,

My name is Sandra, I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My mom was born in Pratola Peligna and I still have family there.

My Mom's name is Adalgisa Diloreto my Dad's name is Floro Fusco, he was born in a town closeby called Scanno but eventually moved to Pratola as well. My grandfather died very young (33 I beleive)his name was Lorenzo Diloreto, my grandmother also passed away, her name was Lucia. My aunt (mom's sister) passed away not too long ago in Pratola her name was Nunziata (she sold produce on wheels which they call "La bangarella) there. I still have cousins there as well, Luciano Petrella (ownes a hairdresser in Pratola) lives there with wife and 2 boys. Franco Petrella, Anna D'Andrea and Lorenzo D'Andrea are my first cousins (still in Pratola). Keep in touch and let me know a little about yourself.

As far as family here in Canada, my mom has two sisters Antonia Diloreto Recine and Maria Diloreto Dibacco. She has only one brother in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada named Domenico Diloreto (named after my great grandfather).

My great grandmother was Cesaria Pasquale Santarelli(1888-1980)Her parents were Giovanni Pasquale and Colorinda Dinardo. My G Grandparents came over from Taranta Peligna Italy.
