I wish I could help. My Dimonds came from Galway, ireland. However, John came, according to census, in 1863. Though I have not been able to prove it yet, I believe his mother was nee Bridget Connolly. Family stories say they came to US at Rhode Island, but eventually settled along the Mohawk in the state of New York.
