Robert DINGLEY, is a puzzle. I need documentation that identifies his parents [I think they may have been Jabez DINGLEY and Selah PETERSON].

His birth was reported as Oct 19, 1819 in Edward Johnson's "Vital Records of Hallowell, Maine to the Year 1892" with the notation, "P.R." His parents were not identified. He died Aug 17, 1888 in Togus, Maine.

Robert DINGLEY's birth year occurred during a period of transition - when Maine became a state, formed from what was previously Massachusetts. I wonder if his official birth record got "lost between the cracks" during this transition.

Robert DINGLEY married Theresa Anna "Annie" LEEMAN; their intentions filed Aug 22, 1840 in Hallowell, Kennebec Co., Maine. She was born about 1820 in Maine. I have not found her death record, and I have not yet identified her parents.

Children of this couple included: 1) Harriet R. "Hattie"; 2) Ann W.; 3) Franklin E. "Frank"; 4) George A.; 5) Emeline; 6) Charles S. "Charlie". The births of these children were all recorded in Hallowell, ME, and they were born between 1846-1860.

Does anyone have information about 1) the parents of Robert DINGLEY; 2) the birth family and death information for Theresa Anna "Annie" LEEMAN; and 3) the death information and marriage information for each of their children?
