Am searching for information on Francesca Dionisio born abt 1866 in Italy who married Cesidio Guardiani born abt 1864 in Italy. They immigrated to the U.S. around 1909 to Pennsylvania.
Francesca's father in law was John Eustachio Guardiani who married a Maria/Mary whose maiden name could be Cittinelli. John & Maria are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA., along with two of their children, Pvt. Joseph C. & Anna Guardiani.
ANY help would be appreciated.

I dont know where is Bari, my family is from the Philippines, I was just so surprised to see other Dionisio's that's from other country.

I am only 33 years old and not sure if there is someone from my family from the first generation that have tried to trace our root.

I do not know. I am not very close to my NY family so I really do not know to much about their ancestry other than they came to NY from Bari. Where have you traced your roots to?

OBITUARY : RALPH G. DAIN

Ralph G. Dain, born Raffaele Dionisio, on January 30, 1914, passed away on November 2, 2003.

Mr. Dain was a lifeling resident of Akron, and served as a sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Corps in England during World War II.

He formerly worked at the America Hard Rubber Company, and at the time of his retirement, was employed at the Morgan Adhesive Company.

Mr. Dain was a longtime member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church. His joys in life were his wife, his home, and the love of his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Emidia Doinisio , his sister, Anna Falasco, and brothers, Greeno and Mario.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Rose , his son, Anthony ( Regina ) ; grandchildren, Martin ( Jamie ) , Gina , Colleen , Patricia , Mary Catherine and Anthony ; brother, Arthur ( Josephine ) ; sister-in-law, Rose Dain ; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Dunn Quigley Cirello & Carr Fairlawn Chapel , 39 South Miller Road.

Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I am sorry to say that I do not have any information for you but we have some things in common. My great-Grandparents are Carlo Pacione and Dominica Dionsio who also came from Ofena Italy. There must be some connection but I can't seem to find it. If I come across any of the name you have given I will be sure to let you know.

William...both by grandparents came from bari, italy in the teens....circa 1914...met in nyc and married...grandmother felicia deVito and grandfather guiseppe dionisio...who had several brothers to the best of my knowledge...if you are a dionisio from bari, italy...and i am a dionisio from bari, italy i would bet money we are related.

Hello! My grandmother was Laura Dionisio, born in Hobokin, NJ (1903-1993). Her parents were Pascal and Beatrice Dionisio, who came to the US in the 1890's. She married my grandfather, Mauro Simone. They too settle in Fresno and were fig farmers. It would be wonderful if we are related. I do not have much information on the Dionisio family. Please respond!!!

My grandfather Leonardo Dionisio came from Lucca, Siciliy Italy around 1891. He married Anna Piscopo & they had 9 children, one of which was my dad Joseph Dionisio. Leonardo & Anna lived in Pueblo, Colorado. My dad Joseph moved to California from K.C.Mo in 1955.

I think I wrote to you quite some time ago, but I never got a response. I have a Joseph/Guisseppe Dionisio who married Felicia (Fanny) DeVito. They were both from Italy. They had 7 children that I know of: William, Antoinette, Carminno, Marco, Annie, Donato (Daniel), and Frank.

Hi -- My mother's name was Anna Concetta De Carlo (b. 1916 - d. 1995). She married Albert Vincent Bellino. Her mother's name was Louisa Pacione and her father's name was Pacifico Di Carlo. They came over here from Ofena, Italy. Louisa Pacione's mother was Maria Florio and her father was Fidele Pacione. Pacifico Di Carlo's mother was Anna Concetta Dionzio (Dionisio?) and his father was Frank Di Carlo. Louisa and Pacifico Di Carlo's children: Concetta and Mary (born in Italy, now deceased), Albert (born in Italy), Frank A. (deceased), Elyssa Bella ("Lily"), Dante and Anna (deceased).

hi. my grandfather was guisseppe dionisio who also came from bari italy when he was a teenager. i think he was born in 1880 or so. he married felicia devito whom he met in nyc. they had 16 children. i'm one of their grandchildren.
