I think Isernia is not east Compobasso. Isernia and Compobasso are both in Molise. My family is from Riccia, in Compobasso, Molise, Italy. Yours were married in Pietrabbondante in Isernia, Molise, Italy. They still can be related, because maybe they got married where the other one came from. The papers I have from Italy spell Domenic, name Di Iorio, which is the correct way. When he came to US, they made it Di Orio.
