Hi Jean,
I just saw your post from a long time ago about the DiPaola family marriages about 1800. I am looking for a record of marriage for my great grandparents. His name was Giuseppe DiPaola and her name was Marie/a Giuseppa/Giuseppine La Padula. They got married about 1800 and were actually from Polla, Italy...near Salerno....near Naples. They usually told people they were from either Salerno or Naples because Polla is a very small village. If you still have the list of marriages, could you please check to see if there is anything resembling their names on the list? I'm not sure of the spelling of the first names with all the changes they went through not knowing English spellings. I do know my great grandfather was a lot older than my great grandmother. She was either 12 or 13 when they married. It was one of those arranged things they did back then between families.
Thanks,
Terri
