FYI

I'm 1 dependant of Walter J. Dippold, son of Walter P. Dippold (deceased) of Perry county MO.
Walter P. was 1 of 3 brothers immigrating to the USA from Germany. Walter P. stayed in the St. Louis area while the other brothers moved, 1 to New York area and 1 to the Arizona/New Mexico area.
It is my understanding that all Dippold's in the USA are related, as the name is not common in the America. I have traced the linage to 3 generations into Bavaria. But the trail stops there!

S. Dippold, b. abt. 1840 in Alabama

S. Dippold, (white female) age abt. 60 and born in Alabama, is listed in the 1900 Census for Galveston, TX.

I am not related to this family, just passing on this information. I've been researching the 1900 Galveston, TX. Hurricane and just recently found a partial census that was taken months before the Hurricane hit. Since this family was from elsewhere, I'm posting this info, just in case somebody lost track of them when they moved. The link for the site is listed below.
Joyce

http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tx/galveston/census/190...
