I am wondering if Catherine and Elizabeth are some how related to me. I had an Uncle who died rather young of a rare heart disease. He was married to a Catherine . My name is Laura and My grandparents on my mothers side were Solomon and Lona Dirk. However Solomon may have started another family after he Left the pocono Mountain Farm where Lona and their 9 children Lived. they are/or were; Herman,Ann,Elsie,Bessie,Bill or (william),Harry,Mary and Dorothy ,she was the youngest was my mother. Solomon Left them when she was 5 years old. The explaination I was always given was that he was an alcoholic that drank up all the Farm profits . So my grandmother sent him on his way. As far as I know we never heard from him again. It would be nice if someone would contact me and tell me what My Grandfather was like providing that he made the side of him known that was ot the alcoholic. Anyone please contact me with Info .
