Catherine Johnstone Disbrow is certainly a good candidate to be Heathcote’s mother. I know that she was a descendant of Caleb Heathcote, whose sons did not survive to have children. Consequently, the name Heathcote was passed down as a first name. I was unsure of her husband’s first name and his specific Disbrow lineage, so that information is especially helpful.

Eli’s son, Heathcote Johnstone Disbrow is also buried at Mercer Cemetery in Trenton, as are several other Disbrows. Among them is Eliza Disbrow Bamford, who appears to be Eli’s daughter.

My Heathcote’s daughter, Mary Ann Disbrow Beecroft, had a son named Heathcote Disbrow Beecroft. I am descended from Heathcote’s other daughter, Cornelia Disbrow Hill. I haven’t found the name recurring in my line yet, but who knows what might turn up.
