I am interested in tracing this family tree back further as well as filling in missing information and adding more recent information on family members. Here is what I have thus far:

Joseph Ditch born 02-20-1859 at Brady's Bend PA died 11-3--1915 in Sykeswille PA of heart attack(work: powder works, making cannon gun powder) married Emma Cordelia Buford born 01-211-1861 died 1958 age 97 and buried in Reynoldsville PA [whose mother's maiden name was LeFever and father's name was John Buford-- John fought in the civil war battle of 'cold river' (maybe Cold Harbor VA) for two battles 06-27-1862 in McClellans Pennisula campain].

Emma Cordella Buford Ditch was put in an orphanage in Dayton PA after her mother remarried a man named Glenn who already had two sons.

Joseph and Emma had 4 children: Joseph Arnatha "Nathan" "Souppy" Ditch , Bertha Mae Ditch, Edward John Ditch (Dietch), and Frank Earl Ditch.

Arnatha born 1881 died 1918 of infection from back injory in mine. Married Anna Bell Yount born 05-23-1897 in Ramseytown, Jefferson Co. PA died 04-10-1983 DuBois Nursing Home. They had 3 children, though Arnatha died while Anna was still pregnant with the third. These children: William Gerald Ditch (my grandfather), Walter Ditch, and Doris Ditch. Anna remarried a George Maxton and had two more chldren: Harold Ralph Maxton died age 2 and Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Maxton died in WWII. Anna divorced George and later married William Hayes born 06-16-1885 died 02-10-1972.

Bertha Mae Ditch born 08-18-1883 died 06-25-1985 was in a nursing home near Erie PA for a while.

Edward John Ditch (Dietch) born 05-02-1886 died 02-27-1981.

Frank Earl Ditch born 06--8-1893 died??? after 1975 as I have a letter from him to my grandfather about his siblings and father dated 1975.
