Aunt Tootie(Naomi) came to Butler Nj. to take care of my sister and i when our Mother died in 1938. Ivisited aunt Tootie in Middletown. about 1991. I am a retired Architect and I live in Gettys burg Pa My Uncles were Henner, Lerroy,

SOo glad to hear from you My name is Bill Ditzler and i live in G ettysburg Pa . I will look up the site for Naoomi . i visited aunt Tootie in Miiddletown with my sister Janet Ditzler. I also visited uncle Hayden in Reseda Caalifornia many years ago. He said that he really missed Lebanon Balony and Snyders pretzels so i sent him both for Christmas for a number of years. Well, you are related to us. My father is Henner's(Harry) son. His name is Leroy. He was named after Uncle Leroy. I read him what you wrote. I am his daughter Karen. What is your name? My father, Leroy and a sister, Shirley Hackert are the only ones still with us. He had a brother Gerald, and sisters, Margarite(Snook), Betty that are deceased. My father knew the exact place on Water Street you were talking about. He had two sons and two daughters to first wife and 5 sons and 6 daughters to the second wife. My ancestor is John b. 1758/60 d. 1837. He married Maria Margaret Conrad. The had six children

His father was Edward H. b. 1819 d. 1890 married Priscilla Wommer, Lebanon County, PA.
His father was Christian b. 1787 d. 1870 married Christina Ulrich and Elizabeth Bordner Lebanon County, PA.
His father was John b. 1758/60 d. 1850 married Maria Margaret Conradd
His father was Melchior b. 1726/28 d. 8 Mar 1797 and is buried in Zoar Luthern Church Bethel ^Twp, PA. Married to Anna Magdalena Schaeffer b. 8Dec 1732 and d. 1758 Second wife Maria Eva DarbernLerter b. 29 Sep 1739 d. 13 Nov 1813.
They had 5 sons and 6 daughters.
Son Melchior d. 4 March '98 married Sarah Engle.
Immigrant father Johan Wilhelm Titsler b. Palatinate, Germany 30 Sep 1726 d. Lebanon County PA 1784.
Children were Melchior whose family were mostly living in Lebanon County, PA. and Antonius d. 1780 and lived in Lancaster Co., PA. and Mary Magdalena.

Hi Eddy, George Scott Ditzler and Martha Isabelle Ditzler were married in McAlester 4 March 1906. I have the information on the Dizlers' back to Hugh H. Ditzler. I also have information on Lewis Moser and Rhoda Ann McPeters, but nothing further back on any of them. I also do not have the name of John Wesley Beaittie's ancestry or Sarah Ellen Cordial's family. According to my memory Mama said she was from Pigeon Cove Tennessee area. During the Civil War she would go between farms with news. You seem to be in a good place to do the research on the recent pass. I do not know how extensive you want your family tree, but I do have the dates of Howard and Lucy's deaths.
I have a lot of pictures of you kids and one great one of Aunt Baby. let me know if you want them. Bev

John Killen Ditzler's Father was Hugh H. Ditzler. Born in Fairfield Co. Ohio. He was a Wagon Maker. His Father and Mother were both born in Ohio. He Married Julia Ann Killen On Feb 19, 1851. I am looking for , I believe on of Hugh's ancestors that was captured by the Mohawks in Western New York state or Penn. and when she returned to her family had two children.

I apologize. I just re read what is written in my book and it is only one Melchoir Ditzler. What it says is that his first wife was Sarah Engle and his second was Mary Carpenter Ulrich. It says that his birthdate was 2-28-1823 and that he died on 3-4-1898.

Hi my name is Jacqueline. I am looking for any information that I can get about my family. My mother started a family tree book but it only goes back to my 3rd grandparents. My great grandparents were Harry and Susan(Hilton)Ditzler. They had what I believe is 9 children. Edward, Harry, Sarah, Leroy, Abraham, Ruth, Florence, Hayden, and my grandmother Naomi.

Harry's parents were William Ditzler and Mary Bowman. William's parents were Melchoir Ditzler and Sarah Engle (which it says was his first wife) his 2nd wife is Mary Carpenter Ulrich. Then the last thing I have is that Melchoir's parents were John Ditzler and Magdalena German. Any help would be so much appreciated! I would love to finish my family tree! In my book I only see Pennsylvania for residences but a lot of the spots for residence are blank so I don't know they may be from other states also.

That his father was John Ditzler and his mother was Magdalena German. I also have another Melchoir that was married to a Mary Carpenter Ulrich. I don't have any info on his parents names though. I am writing because I think that we are related pretty close. My fathers grandparents were Harry and Susan and his fathers name was Harry Hilton Ditzler and he was married to Loretta. I think that we are related because my grandfather's name was Harry Ditzler. His brother Hayden lived in California before he died a few years ago. DEATHS IN KANSAS CITY.

Julia Ann DITZLER, the wife of the late Hugh H. DITZLER,
died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Dr. Rebecca
DITZLER STEWART, 515 South Drury Avenue. She was
80 years old and leaves four generations of descendants,
including seventy-four great-grandchildren.

She had lived in Kansas City eight years, but was a pioneer
settler of Missouri. She was born and reared in Stark County,
Ohio. Her husband and four brothers fought with the Northern
army in the Civil War. In the battle of Chickamauga one brother
was killed and another wounded.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons. They are
Doctor STEWART, Mrs. Walter HOWE, and Charles S.
DITZLER, all of Kansas City; Mrs. C. F. COURTNEY of
Streator, Ill., and John DITZLER of Wetumka, Ok.

Funeral services will be held at the home of Dr. Rebecca
STEWART this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, after which the
body will be sent to her former home, Eldorado Springs, Mo.

I am looking for any information regarding Dr. George W. Ditzler who lived in Carroll's Prairie, TX (now Como) and died in Brownwood, TX in 1919. He is my GGG Grandfather and his Great Granddaughter is still alive...He was also a local Methodist Minister in Brownwood before he died. His death cert. only says that he was buried in Brownwood and the undertaker was McImus and Son. Born 2-7-1827, Died 1-28-1919. Thank you.

Some of these names look very familiar. I have learned from my Ditzler research that there are A LOT of John (Johan) Ditzlers. Many of the early Ditzler families were farmers and had very large families. Those families used the same names - John, Mary, Sarah, Peter, Christian, George . . . so you might think you found your John but if you aren't careful, it was John's cousin. While researching, I found a Ditzler tree that included my ancestors on page 13. You may want to do a google search for Christopher Alan Edwards family research. I think that your family is on page 9.

By the way, Magdalena German may just indicate that Magdalena was her first name and she was from Germany. Her last name may not have been German.

I don't have very much computer savey and every thing i find i have to refind and if it's not free forget it. last night i found in washington twp powseshiek co. Iowa 1856 census hugh h. 25,juliete 22, celestia 3, & john 1 ditzler all born in ohio. It looks like they arrived at this location within the year from ohio.As to the beattie women Isaw you have cordial as sarah ellens maiden name .do you have any proof of this? I have been looking for this for a while. as spelling and penmanship was not the best i suspect that the name of sarah ellen was caylor,caler,or maybe kaylor . our uncle dan's full name was daniel caylor Beattie, 1 found this name in official records of the proceedings of the grand lodge of masons of indian terr. for the years 1895 thru 1902. dan was w.m and sec. of enterprise lodge #79 on several ocassions. I think our john wesley batey ,beatty, beattie's mother was Margeret Brickey batey ,i found this lady in the 1860 censusin blount co. tenn. there was a margeret living with john w and sara e in murrey co ga. 1870 census they spelled the name as batey. the caylor,brickey and beatys enter married in eastern tenn . bev im listed in muskogee phone book as geo. east of the city, call me . eddie

My uncle was Hillard Lyle Ditzler but he was born in Indiana and lived in Chicago area for many years. One brother and four sisters were in California.
