I just wanted to drop a line and say hello because it is becoming obvious to me that we are all somehow related here...
My grandfather Carmine John DiZazzo of Wakefield, Massachusetts has since passed away on 20 Dec 2005; at the age of 95; and I am still determined to figure out how we all connect. There are still some 40 odd telephone/address listings in Rocca D'Evandro for the DiZazzo name (from what I understand it is NOT a large town). I see numerous DiZazzo families in Montreal; Providence, RI; and Lawrence, MA.
I have recently found that my grandfather had an uncle Rocco DiZazzo...from his birth record in Italian I can decifer that he was born on 20 Nov...from what I can tell the year was 1886. I have no idea if he left Italy or stayed. I am sorry that I have not been able to make more progress with this family before my sweet Grandfather died.
Has anyone made any progress on the DiZazzo line? It's been some time since anyone has really posted here.
Well, if your DiZazzo line goes back to Rocca D'Evandro (I think maybe they all do), then HELLO COUSIN!
