The First DOAK in America ??

Who was the first Doak emigrant to America ? I read this message board and other sites on the Doak family with interest but no one has offered a definitive answer to this question. Some might say a Thankful Doak, born 1707 on board a ship bound for America, and her parents, whoever they were, have the honour of being the first Doak emigrants. But the evidence to support Thankful's case seems a little thin. My money is on Robert Doak, who landed with his family in Boston in November, 1718. Robert's son John married Mary Wilson and settled in Penn. by 1725 etc.
See the "mysteries" section at www.doak.ws on this point. If this question interests you does anyone have solid evidence of a Doak emigrant who arrived BEFORE 1718 Robert ??
