Hoping for a clue-Doke/Doak, Harding/en/in Information

Surnames: Doak/Doke, Hardin/en/ing
My great-great-grandfather was Samuel Doke/Doak Hardin/en/ing b.ca 1822 in Tennessee. His mother, according to the 1850 census for Anderson County, Texas was Margaret b.ca 1791 in Tennessee. Margaret also had a daughter, Melinda/Medlina? b. ca 1828 in Tennessee. I believe I find Margaret on the 1840 Bedford County, Tennessee census as head of household with a female of the appropriate age range to be Melinda/Medlina/. Enumerated 7 lines above Margaret are Samuel Doak age 30/40, Hugh G.? Doak age 30/40, and William D.Doke(I believe) age 40/50. Since it looks as if Margaret was a single Mom at this point, just wondered if these "Doke men" might be her brothers. Does any of this ring a bell for anyone? Been "brickwalled" with this for years, so any clue, idea, whatever would be greatly appreciated!
