Hi I am looking for information on the family of Lafayette Doane. Here is the information that I have on him at this time:

Lafayette Doane was born in 1843 in Indiana, he met and married Olive Matilda Ward, she was born on January 1, 1859 in Little Cottonwood, (near Sandy) Salt Lake County, Utah, the daughter of William Ward from England and Eleanor Lewis of Ohio.

Lafayette and Olive Doane had the following children:

William Doane, born in 1877

Olive Doane, born,Oct. 24, 1878 in Utah
Died: August 11, 1974 in Walla Walla, Washington
Married: Patrick H. Mitchell about 1900, they had two children both born in North Dakota, Howard Mitchell born in 1903, and Irene Mitchell, born in 1905.
Olive later married Charles V. Flindt.

Twins:
Berth E. Doane, born October 1881, in Helena, Montana
Died: June 22, 1925 in Seattle, Washington, Bertha is buried at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery in Seattle, Washington.
Married: Alfred H. Orth about 1905, they had one daughter, Eva A. Orth born about 1906 in South Dakota.

Bessie Doane, Born October 1881 in Helena, Montana.


Lafayette Doane may have died sometime before 1889 and may be buried somewhere in Montana?

Olive Matilda (Ward) Doane remarried following Lafayette's passing to William Bowen Wrangham of Keeseville, New York. He was a farmer and owned land near Oakes, in Dickey County, North Dakota.

They had 3 Children: Charles Bowen Wrangham b. Nov. 24, 1890 in Oakes, Dickey County, North Dakota.

Thomas William Wrangham b. Aug. 17, 1892 in Oakes, Dickey County, North Dakota.

Anna Ellenore Wrangham b. Sept. 12, 1894 in Hartland Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota


Olive Matilda (Ward) Doane/Wrangham died on September 22, 1937 in Tacoma, Washington.
