Have been doing my family history, my mother's maiden name is Dobb/Dob, her family arrived in Spring Lake, Michigan in the mid 1860's. The family names were Roelof K. Dobb who married Aaltje(Alice)Huisinga. It appears there were two brothers, Hypa who married Jantje Fischer and Albert who married Rena Zwart, one sister as well Anje(Anna) who married Hilbrand Start(k). Perhaps there is a link?
