Surnames: Dobbin, Cairney, Dowen, Armstrong
Hi Rose, it appears we are chasing the same set of Dobbins,etc. Best I can determine, my wife is in the following line.

Peter & Margaret (Cairney??) Dobbin
Thomas (1845) and Mary Jane Dowen(??)
Thomas Michael (1887) and Mary Elizabeth Armstrong

Does any of this ring a bell with you...
