My great-grandfather's name was Louis John Dobler. He was born in 1869 in Racine Wisc. He married Olive Adelphia Fell and had three children, Harry, Hazel(my grandmother)and Hilda. These kids were all born in Iowa. The lived in Turlock(Stanislaus Co.) California in the 1910 decade. He was a dairy farmer. They moved to Pacific Grove(Montery Co.) California where he was a gardner. Louis and Olive retired to Los Gatos(Santa Clara Co.) California. Louis died in 1946 and Olive died in 1957. I have Louis' mothers name as Nehls-Mals is close to that. Hazel, my grandmother gave birth to my mother, Theola Virginia Koehn. Her father, Nathan Koehn never married Hazel, who died when my mother was about two years old. I didn't know the name Koehn until recently. There are newspaper articles about him,Koehn,
being arrested for non-support of a minor child. My mother died in 2003. I think the coincidents of the names are too important to ignore.
