Surnames: Doebler, Doubler, Hayes, Hoag, Knapp
Please let me know if this sounds familiar to anyone.
My gfather
Charles Delore Doebler married Eleanor Jean Knapp.
My ggfather
Henry Farwell Doebler married Alice Eliza Hoag. He was born in Detroit, MI, Feb.11, 1871 and died in Lansing, MI, in the 1940s. His sibling was Ives Doebler and he also had half siblings Charles, Katie,and Lula.
My gggfather
Charles L. Doebler (he also spelled it Doubler) married Julia E. Hayes.
He was born in Badden, Prussia, which is now Baden-Wurtenburg, Germany, in 1842. He died after 1872 in MI.
He also served in the Union cavalry in Bowens Battalion while in Mossouri. Does this sound like someone in your family?
