Kathi.... You would enjoy seeing the original book of records located in the city hall in Vaskut. Four years ago while visiting memory lane, we looked at our family's vital records and for my birth certificate.... The book is enormous, big and heavy with the entries hand written. This was but only one of many.
Unfortunately the lady helping us (yes, also a Mrs. Dobler) had to leave early and could not help us with more research....and we could not return later. What a pity that no one else was in the office.
The reason I am sharing this is to let you know that the information is there and worth a visit. I was also impressed with the lovely folk decor on the outside walls of city hall (or hall of records) and of course the old, tree shaded cemetery.
