I'm looking for any information regarding my Grandad - George Albert Dodd born in Thornaby on Tees in 1921. His father was called Albert Henry Dodd and his mother was Rachel Dodd (formerly Brown). I only have these details as I recently tracked down his birth certificate but have come to a dead end. He never talked about his family and I don't have any further information. Can anyone help? What I found unusual was that his father registered his birth on the day that he was born - was this usual?
