megbr549@aol.com. Since she was born 1846 in alabama and did go to arkansas-I would check the 1850 census for the counties where you feel the family was living in alabama. Then I would go to arkansas and check the census there and try to get a copy of the divorce papers. They may have a reference to her parents? It is possible. Also, go to the BLM (bureau of land management) and look for a DODD family living in the county where you think she was born or close around. The census for 1850 is most probably on line-and the BLM has on line data for alabama. Use Google search engine and ask it the questions. good luck. judy
