I am decended from the Manchester Line that lived in Washington PA. I have gotten a great deal of info on the Doddridge's and the Manchester's from Joseph Doddridge's Book "Notes on the Settlement and Indian Wars ..." Based on the book it is clear that the two families were well known to each other. One of my ancesters Benjamin Manchester b. 1786 in Rhode Island and moved to Washington PA (son of Isaac Manchester) married a Nancy Doddridge and setteled in Canfield Ohio. Nancy and Benjamin had four children the first in 1806 and the last in 1812. Nancy died in 1813. I believe Nancy must have been a decendent of John Doddridge who setteled in Washington PA in 1773 but I have been unable to establish the exact connection. Can any one help?
