Dodsworth Family Bible from 1778 available

May be interesting for someone out there: I found a Dodsworth Family Bible from 1778 available at a book store in New York. Some names are: Ralph Dodsworth son of Ralph in the county of Yorkshire. He married Elizabeth Walter d. 1811 a daughter of John and Mary Walter in 1789. Their son John was born 1790-1831. The the second son Ralph 1792. A daughter Elizabeth 1792. This is only a side line for my tree, so I am not really interested. Any of you? It is for sale at US$ 850 at that book store, I can forward the adress to anyone interested. cagima64@hotmail.com

I am looking for information on Arthur Humble and Elizabeth Dodsworth (Humble). Arthur was born in 1881,Yorkshire,England-died-1954-Calgary,Alberta,Canada. Elizabeth Dodsworth was born-10/13/1878 in Yorkshire,England-died-4/18/1973-Calgary,Alberta,Canada. They were married in Leeds,Yorkshire,England in January 1902 and came to Saskathchewan in 1908.(They homesteaded about 50 miles west of Estevan,later moving to Mantario,Sask.,and finally to Calgary,Alta.,Canada) They had three sons-Ernest,James and George Humble...a daughter,Irene,died about the age of 12.I believe Elizabeth had lived in the Malton,Norton area in England and had a sister,Jenny Dodsworth. Arthur and Elizabeth were my wife's G-G-Grandparents-any information would be greatly appreciated.Thank you...T.Goforth

I would like to hear from any descendants of John Dodsworth. b1871, Annie Dodsworth.b1883, Walter Dodsworth.b1884, George Dodsworth. b1889 and Fred Dodsworth. b1891 all born in West Hartlepool I believe. These were the brothers and sisters of my grandfather Charles Martin Dodsworth b 1879. Their fathers name was Samuel Dodsworth who originally came from Malton Yorks.

I would be interested in anyone researching the above or their offspring. 1841 Census William and Maria were in Fangfoss, East Yorkshire but by 1851 they were residing in Gore, Ontario. They took the following children to Canada with them (1847):-
John (c1830) married Isabella Judge in 1861
Mary (c1835)
Thomas (c1837) married Mary ? and they had William (1863), Mariah (1865) Elisabeth (1867) Jane (1870) Pheby Ann (1872) Thomas (1876)
Peter (1840) married Jane Piercy
Elizabeth (1840) married Joseph Lewis (c1834 Ireland)who had children named William, John, Joseph, Thomas J, Peter, Margaret and Robert.

Hello all you Dodsworths. Have any of you had the chance to explore the Dodsworths in Brazil? George Dodsworth, a sailor, (who I think is one of mine) jumped ship and went there in the first half of the 19th century. All his subsequent descendants are detailed on various Brazilian web pages but I wondered if anyone knows where in the UK he came from.

I have been unable to trace the baptism or birth reg. of my g-g-grandfather, William Dodsworth, born according to census' 1837 in Scruton, though in 1881, stated as york.His marriage certificate gives his father's name John Dodsworth.
I believe his parents may have been John Dodsworth and Ann Wright married in Bedale (from IGI), 0therwise I have no clue where to go next.Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I am the gg-grandaughter of Marmaduke Dodsworth, who settled in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1820's with several children. They came from England. He was a coal baron, then later a partner in the world's largest distillery of the time. Any info would be appreciated, or if I may help anyone with info regarding the Dodsworth's since the 1820's, let me know. I am having a difficult time with info from UK directly connected to his line and first wife. I will get out my research from years past and post more info.

He married a Mary of Malton and they later moved to West Hartlepool. Looking for decendants of John Dodsworth (abt 1853, Stockton, Durham,England) and Catherine Kay Lamb (abt 1858, Bishop Auckland, Durham) m. 1878. They had several children including James William Dodsworth (b.1882), Robert Dodsworth (abt 1879), Horace Joseph A (aka Albert) Dodsworth (abt 1884), Percy Dodsworth (abt 1887) and Edith Elizabeth Dodsworth (abt 1881). All children were born in Newcastle-on-tyne. I'm a direct descendant of James Williams who came to Canada in the late 1890's. Please post or email me directly if you have any info.

I'm trying to locate any Dodsworths in Pennsylvania. My father's middle name is Dodsworth and I thought it was his mother's maiden name. It's not! So I'm thinking it's his grandmother's maiden name. Connection between the names Dodsworth and Innes

We have the middle name Innes in our children's names of Dodsworth, which has come down 4 generations to them. Does anyone know any other Innes-Dodsworth connections. They must have originated somewhere near the Scottish border? The story goes that the Innes clan had hidden wealth and so to claim it the name needs to be continued!!??

He left his wife, Catherine [Heckler] from whom, he was separated but never divorced. He left 2 daughters, Dorothy [age 7 at the time]. She is my mother. Also another daughter, Joyce, [age 9 at the time. He served as a Major in WWI and, pssibly, in the Reserve in WWII. He and Catherine lived in England, in or around Folkstone from approx 1914 - 1918.

I am trying to find information on the descendents of John and Bridget Dodsworth who lived in Auburn, New York. They were married in 1857 and had 4 children: Thomas and John (twins), Michael, and Bridget. Bridget had 4 Doyle children from a previous marriage. John Dodsworth died in the Civil War in 1864. Bridget married Michael Mullen; she died in 1895. Thomas Dodsworth was my great-grandfather. I don't know when or where he died; I'd like to know what happened to him. In 1892 he lived in Newark, NJ but I don't know what happened to him after that date. Michael Dodsworth died in 1927 in Auburn and I've located this branch of the family. I'm interested in hearing from any Dodsworths.
