Surnames: DOWELL, HALE, DOKEWELL
I have a name in my tree, DOKEWELL. There is no other instance of this anywhere that I can find so it must be something else. Hannah DOKEWELL m Anthony HALE in Bledington, Glos, 1716. Anthony was from Kingham, Oxon, just next door.
Could she have been a DODWELL? I don't know where she came from but they stayed in Kingham so I presume she was local to Oxon. Anyone out there know her?
