In Germany is a City with the Name "Maydenburg" not existent. Is the correct Name of the City "Magdeburg"?

Here in Germany living more Person's with the Surmame "Doerge".

My Vater is borning 1907 in the City with name "Schönebeck / Elbe), round 30 Km from Magdeburg.

For more Information to the family, I must recherching in the "Martin - Luther " Church in Schönebech, here is my Vater (and more dates from The Doerge family) registrated.
