I read the message from Spencer A Doering and have been unable to contact him via e-mail so I am posting this message.

John Gottlieb Doering was a major league base ball player in the 1880s who went under the name of Jack Brennan. I am attempting to clear up the errors in his record, which was given to a James A Brennan, but that has been corrected. After 1902, his whereabouts are unknown and it is always possible that he moved to Goodrich, ND. Can anybody tell me if this is far fethced, or that John born 1862 was the father of Buford Deering and others.
