Surnames: Doerksen, Braun, Penner
Thank you for replying. This sounds like it has possiblities. When my grandparents immigrated to Canada in 1924 they noted that they had "kin in America: Aunt Gerhard Doerksen, Kansas". A family member told me that my grandfather's sister had visited these people in Inman, Kansas. My g-grandmother was a Braun but it could also be on the Penner side and, of course, it could be in a number of other directions, too. Do you know Gerhard Doerksen's wife's name or if there's a connection with either of these other names?
