DOERKSEN, REV. JOHN Rev. John Doerksen went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2005. John was born Nov. 8, 1908 in Langham, Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his divinity degree from Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His pastoral ministry began in Alberta, Canada and continued with churches in Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, South Dakota and Colorado. He is survived by a son, Jerry (Sally) Doerksen and a daughter, Jennie Doerksen, both of Denver, a brother, Herman, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a sister, Sarah Schmidt, of Langham, Saskatchewan, Canada and numerous nieces and newphews. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Lillian, three brothers and one sister. Visitation Thurs 6PM to 8PM. Service Friday 11AM, both at Olinger's Hampden Funeral Home, 8600 East Hampden Ave. Interment Hampden Memorial Gardens.
