My Grandfather August Dours came to US about 1900 settled outside N. O. La. Was a truck farmer , meat market owner by Jackson Square in N.O.Hs truck farm was on Paris Road, Next to street named Doer St. , I was told our name in France or French was spelled Doers. This info appears to be that the Doers name is of French origin, in researching I found My grandfather died 1927 was buried in old cemetary in N.O., I was born 1929 so I didn't get to know my family too much.
