It's been so long I'm not sure you'll even receive this msg, but I saw a reply from you on Ancestry.com re: my Doersam lineage, requesting info to see if you can tie us in.



My Grandfather was Tazewell Doersam, born in Richmond VA, born betw 1903-1908? He ended up in Manhattan, NY, and died in Yonkers, NY in 1980.



His parents are William(? sp) and Anna, as far as my Mother, Nancy (Doersam) has told me. I believe she told me that either they or William's parents came from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France to the US.



Has anyone yet figured out the origin of the Doersam name? My mother has always said they were "German/Swiss".



Supposedly, Tazewell Doersam is related to actress Nina Foch (deceased), as a cousin of some degree or such.



Let me know if any of this ties in anywhere. Oh - Tazwell had a brother named Donald, also. There is a brother Douglas, too, if I'm correct.
