More info on roots of Tazewell Doersam.

My grandfather Tazewell's father William Doersam was apparently born in a town at the intersection of France, Germany and Switzerland called Allsac(sp?) Lorraine. I haven't checked yet but I believe that would be France.

He married Anna, whose maiden name I do not know yet. I am told she was born in Switzerland, and was of German/Swiss descent.

They came to the US > VA but I don't have a date on that yet either.

They had 3 sons: Tazewell, William, and Douglas. At some point one of the brothers lived at 109th Street in Manhattan.

Tazewell was also an uncle of some sort to old-time US actress Nina Foch. She passed away within the last few years. My mother supposedly resembles her.

I'm hoping the Doersam experts can make a helpful connection somewhere?
