My name is Rick Dohner, the son of Frank Pepper Dohner. I have been out of touch with most of the family for some time now. I would like to contact my father to let him know i got married. i am pretty sure he still lives here in california, but haven't been able to locate him. If anyone has been in contact with him or knows how to contact him, please let me know. Or at least pass on my good news.

Dohner Lineage, Lancaster PA

I have a few generations of Dohners in my family tree, from Michael (who lived in E Lampeter Twp) to Joseph (m Anna Kreider). I don't know much about the Dohner family other than the names I have. Does anyone know where they might be buried and what their religious affiliations were? My direct line starts with the immirgrant, his son Michael, Michael's son John, then Joseph, then Catharine (who married Christian Burkholder). I discovered that Michael's farmhouse and barn are located in E Lampeter, not far from where I reside, near the Lancaster Mennonite HS. Does anyone have more info on the Dohners?

Dohner family roots

I am looking for information on my family. Here is the information I have been told:
My great, great grandfather was Joseph H. Dohner (born in 1835); his father, born in 1808, was Rev.Moses Dohner. Rev Moses Dohner was married to Catherine Hoover, a relative of President Herbert Hoover. Moses' father was Joseph Dohner, Sr. (born in 1774). His father was John Dohner, Sr. Before John, Sr, was Michael Dohner (born in Switzerland, died in 1798) and came to America in 1734, before that John Dohner (date of birth unknown). Apparently the family moved from Germany to Switzerland in the late 1600s.

If you have any information regarding any of these family members mentioned, could you please let me know. I will gladly share any information I have or find if desired.
I own a home built by Michael Dohner in 1728 in East Lampeter Twp. Lancaster County, PA. USA. We know nothing about the Dohner family, and are very interested in learning more. The home is still livable and in the National Historical Registry.
