Hi Diane! I was doing some searches on Google and entered "Winkofske" and came upon your posted message. I have been doing a lot of research on the family and would be happy to share what I've found so far. John Joseph Dohoney was christened in Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago on 29 May 1892. All I know of his first wife is that her last name might have been Downey. They had 3 kids: Bernice, who died in 1967, William(later Bill Fitzgerald) and John (later Patrick) - all are now deceased. He married Jessie (our gm) on 3 Jan 1923 @ Our Lady of Sorrows in Chicago. His parents were William A. Dohoney (1 Nov 1865 - 8 Nov 1930) and Annie Lynch (circa 1864-5 - 27 Feb 1907). I even know that William's parents were born in Ireland - Thomas Dohoney (circa 1837 - 13 Feb 1886) was born in County Kilkenny and his wife was Catherine (Katie) Burke. I'm heading out now but will give you more info in the future if you'd like to correspond. Take Care and say hi to your Mom and Dad and Jim!
Your Cousin, Joe
