From William Doidge & Joanna Gimblet (my 5th Gt Grandparents) I am descended from their eldest child, Elizabeth (1786-1825), who married John Brimacombe.
I am trying to trace all of the descendant branches from William & Joanna, so I would be very interested in learning more about your family line, from their son George. I have quite a bit of information but would be very in interested in learning more.

As for their son John, who was baptised on 9 May 1802 in Coryton. I believe he went on to marry Mary Fuge (born c1806 in Milton Abbot) on 26 Dec 1826 in Brentor. They had 3 children that I am aware of;-
William Fuge Doidge, bapt 10 June 1827
John Doidge, bapt 26 Apr 1829
George Doidge, born in 1843
I have been able to trace sons John & George & their families through to the 1901 Census, but cannot find William Fuge Doidge, so believe he either died prior to 1841 or emigrated.
