I have recently been researching the "Kansas" line of the family. Have found a number of photos of headstones on Find-a-Grave. I went on the internet and researched cemeteries in Barber County Kansas. It shows a Doles Cemetery in which a Duncan Doles is buried. It says he died October 12, 1882, aged 34 years, 1 month, 7 days. That does not match any of the Duncans that I have. Of course I might not have all of them discovered yet. There are a LOT of Duncan Doleses. The one you mentioned is buried in Highland Cemetery along with his wife Elizabeth Hobson.
