Dear Board
I would be interested in hearing from anyone with connections to or information on the Doling ladies who were second class passengers on the Titanic.
Ada Julia Elizabeth Doling (née Bone) was born in Eling, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, UK on September 9, 1875. She was the daughter of William Harry Bone and the former Miss Julia Sarah Whetingstall. She was married in 1898 to John Thomas Doling and the couple had two sons, Willy and Reggie. John Thomas Doling was a councillor.
She travelled on the Titanic with her husband's younger sister, Elsie. She had been born in Southampton on October 30, 1893 and her parents were John Doling and Augusta Lucretia Parker. Both Ada and Elsie survived, having visited relatives in New York.
Returning to Southampton both ladies would spend the rest of their lives there. Ada died there on April 11, 1962. Elsie later married William St Alban Hendricks, a medical practitioner and raised a family befire her death in Romsey on March 3, 1972.
Anybody who can expand on this is most welcome.
All the best
