Hi. So far I have not run across a Herbert.My line starts with Jacob Doll,abt 1816-1870. Since the great Chicago fire of 1871 destroyed many records, it has been difficult to find out much about him. He was married to Elizabeth, 1815-1891. Both were born in Prussia. They had three children, John, 1851-1924,Elizabeth, 1856-1898, and Angela, 1859-1905. Angela was my Great-grandmother who married Joseph Eberle.
