I am looking for any info on the Dolly's from Clinton, Iowa. I can go back as far as my GG grandfather Edward Dolly. Any info, photos, trees would be greatly appreciated..Thanks

My father,Claude Craig Dolly, made the below post back in 2001. He has since past away and I would like to pick up from where he stopped..

I am trying to find information regarding the surname Dolly in Iowa and/or Ireland. My grandfather was Claude Clement Dolly. I know he lived in Clinton, Iowa and think he was born there on Nov. 20, 1905. He had a brother Jim Dolly. I think he had three sisters: Helen, Dorothy, and Marianne. I believe his father's name was Ed Dolly. I am having trouble finding any information about this side of my family or where our name came from. I know that it came from Ireland, but that is all I know. I would greatly appreciate any comments or help. Thanks.
