Mathew NathanielDolsen b. 1748 Poughkeepsie New York,and Hannah Fields.b. abt. 1853,Dutchess, New York. Mathews brother, was Isac Dolsen, mar. too Mary Field. Isac Dolsen and Mathew brothers, and Hannah and Mary Field were sisters. Two, Dolsen brothers, mar. two Field sisters...but wait.. it gets better.Mathew Dolsen b. 1774 Northumberland PA mar. abt. 1803, too an Elizabeth WILLETS, b. abt. 1785 Cumberland PA who d. abt. 1862. Mathew Dolsen died abt. 1818 Kent Co. Ont. Can. Mathew Dolsen and Elizabeth WILLETS, had Six Dolsen children. after Mathew died....Elizabeth WILLETS, marries, Mathews, cousin, John DOLSEN b. abt. 1782 Fishing Creek PA who died, Dover Twp. Kent Co. Ont. Can. John is establish by order of council(whatever that is) on the 20 Aug. 1817, to be the son of Mathew Nathaniel Dolsen and Hannah Fields. after... Elizabeth WILLETS dies, John Dolsen remarries, Elizabeth RIDLEY, and John DOLSEN, and Elizabeth RIDLEY, have 3 children. Mathew DOLSEN, and Hannah Dolsen ,who were possibly twins, b. Feb. 8 1801, assumption Sandwich (Windsor, Ont. Can. today), Hannah Dolsen mar. a John Zelinski, third ch. Urish John Dolsen, b. 2 Jan. 1828, d. 15 Oct. 1906 Chatham Kent., Elizabeth RIDLEY mar. John DOLSEN 1 Dec. 1799, River Thames Kent by J. Urqhuart J.P. (unknown if any relation, too Elizabeth nee Ridley,s step father James Urqhuart.) I see from the mar. dates, theres already a confusion. one tree, had, Mathew Dolsen as the first mar. of Elizabeth abt. 1803, but that can,t be, if Elizabeth Ridley mar. John Dolsen, 1779. Well, perhaps, the mar. dates off or they have the order of the mar. mixed up. Well., on too Elizabeth Ridley, she was the daughter of Edward Ridley, b. poss. Engl. furtrapper,no rec. too a Genevieve DROUILLARD, Edward lived poss. Hog Isl. near Belle Isle, today, known to have owned a lot in Detroit in 1771. Genevieve DROUILLARD b. Nov. 8, 1766 Assumption Sth. Coast of Detroit, died, July 26, 1803, St. Peters, River Thames Kent Co. Ont. Can.her first mar. too Ridley was bef. Jan. 1 1784, shes widowed at abt. 20, and remaries a JamesUrqhuart (sp. dif ways) and they have a family.Genevieve DROUILLARD, had a brother , Thomas DROUILLARD, Uncle too Elizabeth nee Ridley/Dolsen, who mar. MariAnn WILCOX, and Mari Ann Wilcox, and Thomas Drouillard, had a daughter that they named Pelagia DROUILLARD. Now it gets harder, too peice together. but the name of Marie Catherine Cheyne (Chene,at rootsweb sites) is listed, along with Francis DROUILLARD, as the godparents too Elizabeth RIDLEY, that mar. John DOLSEN, son of Mathew and Hannah Field. Francis DROUILLARD was Elizabeth RIDLEY,s, god parent and grandfather, Marie Catherine Cheyne (Chene) was her godparent as well, as the natural legidiment mother, too Pelagia Dequindre (sp. may be off,you have the correct sp.),who mar. Isaac Mathew Dolsen, other brother, too John Dolsen, that mar.
