WEST LIBERTY, Iowa -- Armando Dominguez, 72, died Saturday Dec. 16, 2000, at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A funeral Mass was held today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West LIBERTY, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial was at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West LIBERTY.
He was born April 1, 1928, in Cuidad, Acuna, Mexico, the son of Paublo and Socorro Valdez Dominguez. He married Catalina Zamora on March 1, 1951, in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico.
He had been employed by West LIBERTY Foods in West LIBERTY for 20 years. Following his retirement he worked for Oral B in Iowa City for 3 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West LIBERTY.
Survivors include his wife, Catalina Dominguez of West Liberty; two daughters, Rosa Garduno and her husband, Martin and Alma Trinh and her husband, Tin; two sons, Jose Dominguez and his finance, Jennifer and Juan A. Dominguez, all of West Liberty; a sister, Anselma Castaneda of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Juan Dominquez, Paublo Dominguez and Eugeno Dominguez of Cuidad, Acuno Mexico; 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Juan; a daughter Yolanda; two sisters; and a brother.

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa - Arturo Dominguez, 59, of West BURLINGTON, Iowa, died Saturday, January 22, 2005, at his home.
Private graveside service will be held at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Burial will be in Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital.
Arturo was born on August 10, 1945, in Del Rio, Texas, the son of Pedro and Oracelia San Miguel Dominguez. He married Vickie Wheeler on July 24, 1998, in Muscatine.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Korea.
He was a quarry truck driver and also a musician. Music was his life.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Dominguez of West Burlington; two sons, Arturo Dominguez Jr. and Joe Dominguez, both of the Quad Cities; one step-son, Kevin Wheeler of Burlington; two daughters, Lupe Cross of Rock Island, and Kristina Wheeler of Burlington; six grandchildren; his mother, Oracelia Dominguez of Del Rio, Texas; two brothers, Eddie San Miguel and Reuben Dominguez, both of Del Rio, Texas; and four sisters, Rosa Richardson of Altus, Oklahoma, Lupe Rodgers of Crawfordsville, Florida, Virginia and Aurora, both of Del Rio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers.
