William Donahoo, a native citizen of Ireland this day comes into Court and files his declaration, declaring that he is a native citizen of Ireland, that he was born about the year 1816, and emigrated to the United States on the third day of April 1836, that it is his intention to renounce his allegiance to her majesty, the Queen of England, and become a citizen of the United States of America, and he files his declaration preparatory to his naturalization.
Court thereupon adjourned until to-morrow morning 7 Oclk

The declaration this day filed in open Court by William Donahoo, for naturalization, and which is ordered to be spread on the Minute docket of this Court, is in the words and figures following, to wit:
“State of Tennessee }
“Grainger County } Circuit Court August Term, 1849.
“William Donahoo this day appeared in open Court, and declares that he is a native citizen of Ireland, that he was born about the year 1816, and that he emigrated to the United States on the third day of April 1836, he also states that it is his intention to renounce his allegiance to her Majesty the Queen of England and become a citizen of the United States of America, to whose institutions he is attached, he files this his declaration of such his intention preparatory to his naturalization in accordance with the provisions of the acts of congress in such cases made and provided. William x Donahoo”
Said declaration is thus endorsed, to wit, Declaration Wm. Donahoo for naturalization. Filed August the 27, 1849. W. L. Lathim, Clk.” And this entry having been omitted to be made on yesterday, is made now for then.
