Then we are second cousins. How exciting! My grandmother , Kathryn Marie Kahl Fitzgerald, was a sister to your grandfather, Fred Kahl. My mom was Blanche Fitzgerald Davenport. I have written a 45 page paper on Fred and Katie's family that I would like to share with you. Please contact me at rdgibbs@tampabay.rr.com.

Your cousin Rosalyn

Dont think your Augustus is the same person as the one I am researching. I sure wish I could find someone researching my family but so far not lucky. My gg/f Augustus Donahoo was b. 1827 in GA. According to census, both parents were, also. He md Emalene Elliott in 1851. Their children: Henry Huston, Clementina, Wilburn, William & John Hilly. William is the only one we have no info on, but all the rest of that family lived close around the same area in south GA. The children were all b.1855-1860s. If anyone has any info on the Donahoo Family in the Ft Gaines -Albany GA area pls contact me. I am hoping to find the parents of Augustus someday.

read your posted message. I am also a decendant of Augustus Donahoe. I had at one time a whole notebook filled with all their info. I had picked up where my Grandmother left off. Her name was Frankie, and had a brother named Alvin. But I lost it in a fire.I had worked on it for four years or so. Lee Burch sent me a stack of hand written court records, where some of Daniel's kids was attempting to prove their Indian heritige to recieve land grants .Let me hear from you and we can compare notes as I try to recover all the info I have lost
The Donahoos lived in Afton (Ottawa County), Oklahoma in the early part of the 1900s.

Ollie Aldace Donahoo was a dear friend of my grandmother's; I hadn't grasped how dear until I found in going through some of her things. I have a photograph of her three daughters, Aldace, Helen, and Kathryn. My mother had added a note to the pic that they were the daughters of Dr. Joe Donohoo (He had the first automobile in Afton). I also have a clipping Grandmother had saved of the obituary for Ollie Aldace Donohoo (the doctor's wife). It's undated, but notes she was a "pioneer Oklahoman and a resident of Tulsa for 39 years.
I hate to pitch these without first making an effort to see if any of her descendants might like to have these items.

DONAHOO of Maury Co TN

More than 20 years ago, found among marriage bonds in the basement of the Maury Co. courthouse, in a section where no licenses were found was: "Thomas PACE to Catherine DONAHOO (In 1816 Box), Henry WEBSTER, BM". It may be that the bond was issued in Maury Co. & the license was issued & marriage took place in Williamson Co., TN. That is where Tom & Catherine PACE lived and died. I have no clues about Catherine's family.

However, there was some DONAHOO mention in early Maury & Sumner Counties:

JOHN DONOHO listed on the 1787 Sumner Co, TN Tax Roll with 1 poll & 1280 acres. He was also a juror during the Jan. 1788 & April 1790 sessions of court.

Maury Co., TN Deed Bks. A-F, 1807-1817 by Virginia Wood Alexander; p138-245 - Petition for Division of Lands between heirs of William CATHEY, Dec.
William died seized of following lands: 250 acres in Sumner County on W. fork of Goose Creek, John CATHEY's corner, joins John McCARTNEY's tract of 50 acres, being part of 300 acres conveyed by Thomas DONAHO, dated 23, Sept. 1793.

from "Maury County TN Ct. Minutes 1807-1809 & Will Book D. 1824-27" by Jill Knight Garrett: pg 41:
...Ordered that Isaac BILLS, George BRECKENRIDGE, William DANIEL, William CRAWFORD, John *DONEHO, James DYSART, William COWDEN, be appointed jury to view, mark, & lay out a road, nearest & best way, beginning at road leading from Columbia to Esquire Prewetts somewhere between the Hurricane & the head of Hurricane Creek crossing Fountain Creek at the upper ford of McCutchin's trace, thence to the Bedford Co. line, in a direction to pass the headwaters of Globe and Rock Creeks.

I've been told that old marriage bonds, but not licenses, were uncovered in the basement of the Maury Co. TN courthouse. In the 1816 Box was found "Thomas PACE to Catherine DONAHOO, Henry WEBSTER BM". I believe they did marry, and she is the "Catharine (age not clear) b VA" in 1850 Williamson Co, TN and the "Kate 65..NC" on the 1860 Williamson Co, TN census. She had 6 children & d. abt 1865. It is possible she had some JOHNSON links. Am seeking any clues on this lady.

I have the death certificate for Julia and her father's name is misspelled as it is Charles William PATTY and her mother's name was Mary Ann MEEKS. Her husband's name was Earl DONAHOO but he died previously. They had two sons Earl and James, so I suppose the informant W. E. Donahoo may have been her son. It states on the certif. that she is buried at Aragaon Cemetery in Polk County, GA but need to find the grave. There are no cemetery records listing her name so I am having problems locating the grave and marker if one exists. Not sure of where the Donahoo family came from, but I think they lived in Silver Creek area. Other spellings Dunahoo, Donahue. Anyone related to this family please contact me as I have further info for the PATTY famil.

Charles Raley was the brother of my gggf, Benjamin M. Raley. I have recently received a copy of a widow's pension application for Sarah Neely Raley. Information in that document confirmed that Benjamin and Charles were brothers. Their siblings were: Nathaniel Green, Harriett Matilda (m. M. D.
