Estelle Donahue(hoe)is my Grandmother. I never knew exactly how to spell her last name so I was happy when I found your link and you had "Donahoe." Her first marriage was to Constant De Keersgieter who died in the early '30's when my dad, John, was a young teenager. She had a son 4-5 years younger than my dad named Kenneth. He died as a child when he was 10-12 yrs old. I remember that at one point the family moved to Colorado in an attempt to help my grandfather's TB. My dad spoke little of his childhood, and he died on my 16th birthday (1966), so I never had the chance to have adult conversations with him. I do recall going with him to visit Estelle, my grandma. By the time I knew her she had outlived her 2nd husband and was with her 3rd. They were VERY poor and the places they lived frightened me. I've figured out for some reason my mother could not tolerate Estelle. She never went with us to visit her, and I'm sure she never stepped foot in our house. Mental health problems run on my mom's side of the family! :o)
Estelle had a sister named Helen who was married to a man named Lucien Junod. I think perhaps they bought the 6 plots at Calvary Cemetary in St Louis, when Kenneth died because I cannot imagine Estelle and Constant could affford it. At that plot Kenneth and my dad are buried, plus Helen and Lucien, and Estelle & her 3rd husband, Jacob Pfeiffer. My grandfather, her 1st husband, is in another location at the same cemetary.
I don't know if this is any of the kind of info you are looking for. I'm only doing Ancestry for the free trial so if you want to ask anything pls email me—
