Hello, I am searching for further information on my great-grandfather FRANCESCO DONATO born in the 1870's (exact date unknown). He married Emilia Gliozzi in Plati, Reggio Calabria, Italy and they had two children together, Domenico (1903) and Rosina.

It is believed that he was originally from the Naples region. He migrated to America in the early 1900's (after 1904) where he later remarried and had more children in the USA.

His firstborn son (my grandfather) was Domenico DONATO born 1st December 1903 in Calabria, who immigrated to Australia on the ship Principe Di Udine which left Messina, Sicily in February 1928, arriving in Australia on the 23rd March, 1928. His sister Rosina remained in Plati, Italy.
