Lydia Rebecca Birkhead is my 4th Cousin. I have her birth location as McLean County (reference KY BirthIndex). You have her born in Owensboro. KY Birth Index refers to a certificate number. Wondering which is correct. You might find some helpful information for some areas of your family at my site home.earthlink.net/~tccottrell since we have common relatives. I'd be glad to share. My email address direct is tccottrell@earthlink.net. Note, will likely be moving the website to a domain this week so if you look and don't find it, email me and I'll provide new URL. Would love to hear from you. TC Cottrell

Hi

My father was Samuel Martin & my grandfather was also Samuel Martin. They came from Breaghy, Rathmelton, Donegal. I haven't been able to find any records and really don't know where to look.

My grandfather's brothers were Robert (1870); Thomas (1873)- he went to US as a butler and then return to Rathmelton - the locals there said he splashed his money about when he went back and to this day is referred to as "Yankee" Martin; John Martin(1878).

Not sure if we are connected.

Best regards

Janet Blois (Martin)

Regarding the Campbell family Donegal Ireland

I am looking for any information regarding the Neil Campbell of donegal Ireland. Married to Jane Martin in the 1840's they had Four sons Roger,James, Edward, Michael, and Charles and, three daughters Mary, Jane, and Margaret. James arrived in California in the 1870's followed by Edward, Mary, Micheal, and last Charles in 1913. He was the only one that arrived by way of Canada. My grandmother Jennie, James second daughter, only remember her father reciving the news that his mother had died. That must have happened around 1900. Jane Vieira
